The Gospel in short
- God has made people very good, but they let themselves be seduced and rebelled. Jesus is the son of God, through the spirit. He died for our transgressions, every lie, simply every sin … In his stripes we have been healed, through his death we can have life – now and in eternity.
- Turn to God, the Father, put your whole trust in Jesus Christ, call to him and accept him as your Lord, sent by God, and follow him. Get baptized under water for the remission of your sins. Let someone put his hands on you and pray for you so that you receive the Holy Spirit (it is necessary that this person has also turned to God, been baptized and been filled with the Holy Spirit). Like this you become a new being. God lives in you.
- The Holy Spirit will guide you. Follow him and do what you feel inside of you that God wants from you. Trust God to always lead you, even beyond your own understanding.
- Grow in the the grace and knowldege of Jesus Christ and grow in God’s love. Speak with God and listen to him. Have loving and true fellowship with other Jesus followers. Renew your mind by reading the bible, especiall the New Testament.
From Creation to Eternity
God made everything good. He made humans very good. Adam and Eve lived in the garden Eden, where they had fellowship with God on a daily basis. There was no sickness, no depression, no walls. They were allowed to eat fruit from all the trees in the garden with one exception, they were not allowed to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Sad to say, but they ate from it. Their eyes were opened and they were ashamed and became closed for God.
God did not want to stay them in this state of their spirit forever. To keep them from eating from the tree of life God banished them from the Garden Eden. Genesis 2-3
This is how sin entered this world. People kill each other, evil is in this world and people are cold and closed towards God. Sin keeps people in bondage. They compare themselves with others to see if they are good or if others are worse. However, we have to compare ourselves with God and God is holy.
God has the ultimate authority. People can lie and betray each other and in this way also sin towards God and with that receive the strongest punishment. In the light of the holy God sin becomes worse. If a film about our whole life, including those most secret things, also thoughts, would be shown publicly we would run away and never show up again, because we would be so ashamed. One day we will stand before God and not find any excuses, we know that we are guilty. He has every right to cast us into hell.
That is bad news.
But there is good news:
God sent his son Jesus to die for us. He was conceived by God, was the only human being that never sinned, he died for you and me. When he was 30 years old he got baptized and the Holy Spirit came on him. After that he walked around, healed the sick, casted out demons, taught and trained for the Kingdom of God. In the end he was whipped and crucified. Since he never sinned he rose from the dead and went up to God in heaven where he sits at his right hand.
We have to confess our sins and turn away from them and turn to God. We need to ask God for forgiveness and ask him for a new heart. We have to be born out of water and Spirit, become a new being. As soon as we have turned form our selfless and godless lives in sin and turned to God we need to be buried under water, old Adam has to die and rise with Jesus to an eternal life. In the bible we see that baptism usually happened the same day. Then we will receive the Holy Spirit and by that we will be born again and become a new creation, all is made new. Now we can do the same things Jesus did. We can heal the sick, cast out demons, baptize them in water and through Holy Spirit.
The following steps are necessary:
Trust in Jesus, turn to God, get baptized in water to Jesus Christ, have a spirit filled Jesus follower lay hands on you to receive the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit fills us up a new language flows out of us, we even may prophecy. Someone can help you.
After this you belong to Jesus and you follow him as he guides you. We read the New Testament, keep his commands and like this we remain in him. If you remain in him you will one day have the right to eat from the tree of life and be in heaven for all eternity.
